Successful lifting! The world's highest altitude wind farm project
2024/07/12
On July 10, the 95-meter onshore wind power blade independently developed by Times New Materials was successfully hoisted in Badu County, Qamdo City, Xizang Province, which is the first fan hoisting of the wind power project.
According to estimates, the highest altitude of the wind farm area is 5,200 meters, which is the highest wind power project in the world at present, and it is also the largest wind power project under construction in Tibet.
The blades loaded by the wind turbine of the project are manufactured by the Jilin factory of Times New Materials Wind turbine blades, and the whole long-distance pallet transport is about 4000 kilometers, the lifting and backhaul distance is about 700 kilometers, and it takes more than 1 month to reach the Badu County of Xizang.
The total installed capacity of the wind power project is 100 MW, and a total of 20 5 MW wind turbines will be installed, with a single wind turbine diameter of 195 meters, a blade length of 95 meters, and a wheel hub height of 110 meters. Following the completion of the first hoisting, 19 more fans will be built in the next two months, distributed on continuous ridges, covering an area of 50,000 mu.
It is expected that the project will be fully completed and put into operation in October this year, and after grid-connected power generation, it will add more than 223 million degrees of clean electricity per year, which can meet the annual domestic electricity consumption of about 230,000 people, and provide a steady stream of green electricity for thousands of lights on the snowy plateau.
