From May 11th to May 13th, 2025, the Third Photovoltaic Glass Fiber Reinforced Composite Materials Industry Development Conference and Application Seminar, jointly organized by the China Glass Fiber Industry Association and the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, and hosted by China Fiber Composite Materials Recycling Resources Consulting Service (Beijing) Co., LTD., was successfully held at Guoyuan Hotel in Lianshui County, Jiangsu Province. More than 200 guests from relevant government departments, industry organizations, research institutions, design institutes, photovoltaic and fiberglass manufacturing enterprises, equipment and coating manufacturing enterprises, financial institutions and testing institutions gathered together to discuss the new trends in industrial development and explore new paths for industrial cooperation.

Zhang Rongqi, secretary-general of the R&D and Promotion Working Group for Photovoltaic Fiberglass Products of the China Fiberglass Industry Association, and Zhang Xuan, deputy secretary-general, respectively presided over the meeting.

     Zhao Zhenglan, the deputy secretary of the CPC Huai 'an Municipal Committee, on behalf of the municipal committee and the municipal government, extended a warm welcome to the guests attending the summit. She introduced that Huai 'an has four calling cards: "Hometown of a Great Man", "Capital of the Grand Canal", "Capital of Cuisine" and "Famous Cultural City". Among them, the glass fiber composite materials industry has become a new highlight of development. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Jushi Group has invested in Lianshui, Huai 'an, filling the main gap in the related industrial chain in Jiangsu Province. This has an important driving effect on Huai 'an's cultivation of the "7+3" industrial clusters and other aspects. Liu Yiyang, the executive secretary-general of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, delivered a welcome speech to the attending guests via online video. He pointed out that looking back on 2024, despite facing severe challenges, the photovoltaic industry still forged ahead in the face of difficulties. Currently, the overall situation of the industry shows a rational return trend. Facing new opportunities and challenges, the photovoltaic industry needs to continuously increase technological innovation, transform its development mode, and constantly improve the quality of development.

     Hong Ran, the secretary of the Lianshui County Committee, said, "The leading enterprise takes the lead, and Jushi Fiberglass builds a global benchmark." Synergistic symbiosis, accelerating the construction of a full-chain industrial ecosystem; The industrial development is promoted from three dimensions: "Professional parks, comprehensively consolidating the foundation of industrial development". He stated that the fiber new materials industry is one of the four advanced manufacturing industrial clusters that Lianshui focuses on developing. It has gathered 50 large-scale enterprises and is expected to achieve a production value of 5 billion yuan in 2024. Among them, the new fiber materials industry represented by glass fiber is accelerating its rise.

     At this conference, Cheng Yuan, the general manager of Nanjing Jufa New Materials Co., LTD., delivered a keynote speech on "The Application of Aliphatic Polyurethane Resin in Composite Materials". It was particularly pointed out that there are performance differences between aliphatic and aromatic polyurethane resins, and that aliphatic polyurethane resins have excellent weather resistance, are not prone to yellowing, and maintain stable performance when exposed to sunlight for a long time. By continuously optimizing the production process, the goal of cost reduction and efficiency improvement is achieved while ensuring production stability. In the future, with technological breakthroughs in polyurethane photovoltaic frames and brackets in terms of high efficiency, low carbonization and sustainability, the application and development of polyurethane resins will deepen in a broader range of fields.
